secretary of the arts

January 20, 2009 was an incredible day. I have hope. I feel proud. I want to be a better citizen, human being. What a day!

Quincy Jones has asked President Obama to think about creating a Secretary of the Arts for his cabinet. I strongly feel for us to be a global leader we must embrace the arts. Every other country in the world sees that a great society needs a strong cultural base, yet we, one of the supposed leaders, barely speak of the arts. Please sign this petition so we can truly become a global leader in every sense of the word. Embrace the arts and your artists America!

hello...

I have decided to join the blog brigade.  My intention is to use this blog as a way to hold myself accountable for creating, editing, and in general, just working on my art.  And staying more connected in the community at large.  Putting more of myself out there in 2009!  

I am currently working on a redesign of my website so I can add all of the work I have been doing over the years since putting the original online.  There is a lot to add.  Please be patient.  You can stay tuned here to get announcements, news and hopefully a daily image post from recent work and the archive.

First, I am going to host a print sale here, and then once this is over, the daily image post will hopefully commence.
